The day started gray and cloudy but turned into a perfect hiking day. Eight of us made the loop of just under 3 miles. This was the old Black Phoebe, Whipsnake, Windmill route. Although things are drying fast, there was still water in the creeks and lots of green; the oaks looked especially lush. We were surprised by the number of flowers (both species and individuals).
