04/03 - Mt Diablo
We are going to the canyons on Mt Diablo's north side, starting in Mitchell, up Back, and over to Donner. It is prime time for trickling creeks and flowers. The hike is not on the "easy" list, but we will take it slow through the flowers as we go over Median Ridge and have lunch with a view.
Our destination is Sunol Regional Park. The flowers are out there, but we will have to plan differently to get to them. Maybe the Blazing Star will appear this year (It did!)

We will be looking for Briones wildflowers, going into the park at the north entrance ---
Old Briones Rd. --- that will take us up to Briones Peak and the Crest Trail.

Karen W. is leading the hike locally, in the Briones Park
09/04 - Crockett Hills

a loop in Shell Ridge Open Space, over on the eastern side, with lunch likely at Borges Ranch.
