1/25 Kings Canyon Loop
There were 13 of us on our first rain free Wednesday of 2017. The original plan was to hike in Redwood Regional Park, but storm damage had closed Stream Trail so plans were altered. The San Leandro Reservoir was higher than any of us remember seeing it, with water only a few feet under the Rimer Creek bridge. The trail was sloppy in places, nearly dry in others. Lots of birds and green growing things. A lovely day to be out walking! We went further than intended with the "short" group covering about 5 1/4 miles and the long group probably a half mile (or more) further.
